Hi and welcome to My Toddler (MT) Cooks.

(just a quick note that I am currently updating the site…. any feedback is greatly accepted)

We hope you will have as much fun as we do learning in the kitchen.

The site is organised into different categories based on Learning, which I hoped would make navigation a little easier. Under the cooking with children tab, there are further menus. Hopefully you will find something that you and yours can enjoy. I have lots more recipes to add in the coming weeks.

If you are not sure where to start, simply dive into something you think your child will like. For babies and wobblers, I would recommend starting with an activity listed under gross motor skills.

If your child is older but you feel would benefit from the recipes/activities, just start with something you feel would attract them.

Take your time working through sensitive areas i.e. textures and allow the child to go at his/her own pace.

Maths and language development will feature in every recipe. Don’t forget to describe the process and ask lots and lots of questions!! Count at every opportunity but most importantly HAVE FUN!

Take a look around and enjoy what fun learning can be when you take it into the kitchen.

    • Sophie, thank you so much for your lovely comment. Sorry for the long time to reply, I have had a new addition to the kitchen so I have not had as much time as usual to give to my blog. We will be back soon as the new addition is getting closer to being a full time contributor 🙂 I’m so glad you enjoyed cooking with your girls. Laura
